Lester Willis Young (August 27, 1909 - March 15, 1959), was an American jazz tenor saxophonist. Coming to prominence while a member of Count Basie's orchestra, Young was one of the most influential players on his instrument. In contrast to many of his hard-driving peers, Young played with a relaxed, cool tone and used sophisticated harmonies.
About
Daniel Conwell is an American musician based in New York City. Daniel is an experienced performer, leading and playing in groups ranging in genre from folk to electronica.
Daniel earned a BA in Music and Spanish from Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana. During his undergrad, Daniel studied classical guitar with Michael Videon and composition with composer Eric Funk.
He earned a Masters in Jazz Performance from New York University 2018. Now in his 11th year of teaching guitar, Daniel is teaching privately and as an adjunct instructor at NYU. He has studied under Adam Rodgers, John Scofield, Wayne Krantz, Ari Hoenig, Alan Ferber, and Rich Shemaria.
Daniel is composing original music for an instrumental album, which will be released in 2021.

Currently accepting new guitar, piano, and ukulele students . All lessons are taught at your home, by Zoom, or at his Brooklyn studio.
